Tuna Snared in Dolphins netThe Miami Dolphins, fresh off their first win of the season, continued to keep a firm grip on the headlines by announcing that Bill Parcells has signed a deal with Miami to run their football operations. In the preceding days the rumor mill was abuzz with news that Parcells would be heading to Atlanta to take on a similar role for the Falcons. However, at the last minute he agreed to yet another job in the AFC East. Patriots and Jets fans know how this story goes, but they probably won’t spoil the ending for the Dolphins fans who haven’t seen the movie yet. The big story now is who will Parcells name as his next general manager and/or head coach. Will he be willing to give Cam Cameron another year to right his ship, or will Parcells look to bring in one of “his guys”? A hot name in this discussion is Patriots’ VP of Player Personel Scott Pioli, who just happens to be Parcells’ son-in-law. What better way for the Dolphins to get back on track than to add one of the brightest front office men in football, while also taking that star away from your division rival? Needless to say, this story could keep the AFC East buzzing throughout the NFL offseason.
