Quick hits

A few quick hits from around the AFC East…

Great news out of Buffalo this morning as doctors now say that Bills’ TE Kevin Everett may be able to walk again. Initial reports painted a much bleaker picture for his recovery, calling the injury life-threatening and catastrophic. On a down note for Bills fans, the team is still wearing the ugliest uniforms in football.

The Miami Dolphins have added veteran safety Donovan Darius and placed starting safety Yeremiah Bell on IR with a torn achilles tendon. Fans have to be hoping that this Darius doesn’t end up lamenting that “the Dolphins make me cry”, too.

NY Jets QB Chad Pennington thinks he will not be able to play this Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens. If Pennington is unable to play he will be replaced by highly-touted backup Kellen Clemens. It is doubtful that this Clemens will be welcomed to New York with the same fervor as the last.

The Patriots made a couple of roster moves, releasing LB David Herron and re-signing LB Chad Brown. The Pats also signed C Dan Connolly to the practice squad. Rumors that the Patriots had signed Steven Spielberg to the practice squad were unfounded.
