The Jets are interested in Mike Bell. In case you are wondering, Bell is a running back for the Denver Broncos with pretty good stats. He might make a good addition to the team.
Tim Dwight has also been let go by the Jets. Though a good player (he has 188 career receptions) and very reliable, he has been on the injury list for quite some time now. I understand the sentiment of loyalty, but I agree with the Jets’ position: at some point you need to move forward with a healthy, usable roster.
The Pats are also in the cutting mood: wide receiver Reche Caldwell was let go yesterday. If you’ve been following the Pats this year you probably aren’t surprised (see why here).
