Bye, Bye Kendall, And Other AFC East NewsThe Bills have signed defensive end Al Wallace to a one year contract. He has a decent amount of experience, and I think he’ll bring some good blood to the Bills’ defensive line. Is there more quarterback shuffling going on? Though no positions have changed as of yet, one can only imagine the pressure felt by the QB- especially with someone breathing down your neck for your job. The Jets have traded Pete Kendall to Washington (finally). This comes after months of animosity between Kendall on the rest of the team (you may recall that Kendall made a big deal about his “raise” and the managements refusal to renegotiate his contract). I’m glad that the soap opera is finally over, but I wonder if the damage to the offensive line will hurt them in the end- then again, two relatively unproven players (including a rookie) are battling for that position, so it may not turn out so bad. Here’s some more information and commentary on the trade.
