Brad Smith And Other AFC East News

One of the things that I’m excited about in 2007 is watching how the Jets utilize Brad Smith. Tom Rock has some great insight over at his blog. Hat tip to The Jets Blog for the link.

Cam Cameron is asking some of his offensive lineman to play different positions in Miami. I’m sure Trent Green is hoping it improves their pass protection (they allowed 41 sacks in 2006).

Mike Reiss has some of the topics Bill Belichick touched on during today’s press conference. It sounds like he had much to say about the defensive backs in New England, including Randall Gay and Eugene Wilson are coming off their best offseasons. They’re going to need those guys if the Asante Samuel situation doesn’t improve and Chad Scott’s injury is serious.

Fantasy owners beware: Dick Jauron has stated that he will be using a RB by committee philosophy in Buffalo. More and more teams are beginning to do this, which only increases the stress level of fantasy owners everywhere.

I’m going to completely disagree with RealFootball365’s prediction that Bill Belichick will leave the Patriots to coach the Giants. Belichick may leave the Patriots if he decides to chase the money, but what I really can’t imagine is the Patriots replacing him with Pete Carroll. That is the very definition of impossible.
