Curtis Martin Retires and Other AFC East NewsCurtis Martin officially announced his retirement from the New York Jets today. More surprisingly, he’s also talking about becoming an NFL owner, but it won’t have anything to do with the J-E-T-S. As a Patriots fan, articles like this make me cringe, but Martin was always a class act and I wish him the best. Patriots training camp starts tomorrow, and there are some interesting predictions at PFW. Among them: Jabar Gaffney and Reche Caldwell could be cut before the season starts. The Dolphins camp has already started and here are 10 questions fans should be asking themselves. One of the most interesting position battles in the AFC East is at the Patriots’ WR spot. There are currently 12 guys trying to make the team, and here is a great breakdown of the race. RealFootball365 has a list of their top 20 receivers in the NFL. Lee Evans, Laveranues Coles, and Randy Moss made the list (in that order). They also compiled a list of the best defenders in the NFL. The Patriots have 4 players, the Jets and Dolphins each have 1, and the Bills have 0. I always love pulling for the underdog, but I hope Cleo Lemon doesn’t have his hopes too high.
